My writing journey

Drawn to history and languages, I pursued a dual degree in European Studies and History from Trinity College Dublin and Columbia University, graduating summa cum laude. It was during this early stage at Columbia University’s Journal of History and The Council of European Studies that I honed my writing and editing skills. I gained experience creating professional website copy, engaging social media content and collaborating with authors and academics.

I’m a highly-skilled communicator, adept at writing in a variety of styles, tones, and on a broad range of topics depending on your needs, however my key areas of expertise include:

  • adventure / travel writing

  • non-profit content creation

  • language, history and social studies research

Why hare dance?

My logo is a nod to my Irish roots—my interest in Irish history & folklore and Tibetan Buddhist philosophy. Unique to Ireland, the Irish hare is one of the few surviving native species.  Adventure is out there

I’m based on the wild north-west coast of Ireland. If I’m not at my desk, I’m probably hiking in the mountains, cycling round the glens or plunging into icy waters.

After graduating, I spent 6 months learning to meditate at Dzogchen Beara Buddhist centre and rekindling with my love to write and create before embarking on a journey to become an Adventure Guide in Nepal. I spent three months studying wilderness first aid, battling white-water, scaling rock-faces and trekking in the most legendary mountains of them all—the Himalayas.

Now, I work part-time as a cycling guide for Trek Travel leading groups within Europe.
